About Bob

Bob Stewart - Stewart ConstructionBob Stewart has been helping singles, couples and families in Puget Sound turn their dreams of a perfect living space into reality since 1993. His years as an accomplished potter have gifted him with a sharp eye and an artist’s keen perspective.

“Being an artist helps me see things multi-dimensionally,” Bob said. “As a builder, that gives me an  edge because it helps me better understand what my client wants to achieve so I can make it happen.”

Bob has loved building things since he was very small, when he fooled around with his dad’s tools. Today, he has a passion for making bigger things—inviting homes, gorgeous additions and rooms that make people want to spend more time at home.

He is most energized when he is sorting through the dozens of solutions to a client’s problems and finding the one that fits their needs exactly.

What does he love most about his job? The intense sense of pride and accomplishment when something his clients have been looking at on a piece of paper becomes a living, breathing house.

Bob and his wife Lanae have two grown daughters and three grandchildren. They live on Vashon Island with their dogs Deja and Duncan, who frequently insist on a run on the beach.

3 things you probably don’t know about Bob

  • He likes hanging around construction sites after everyone else is gone, just to savor the cool things that were built that day.
  • He is serious about his work but loves to laugh.
  • On a Saturday, you might find him on the water with the Vashon Island Rowing Club, sanding and varnishing his 62-year-old wooden sailboat or swooshing down a snow-packed mountain.

Look around the site to gather some ideas. And if you have questions, Bob is here to help you find the answers.
